Managing Partner

Matt, an alumni of UNLV, started his New York Life career in 2012 out of the Las Vegas General Office. Matt achieved numerous awards as an agent qualifying for 3 executive councils*, centurion, new org agent of the year and qualifying for the Million Dollar Round Table** in 2015. Matt was promoted to Partner in 2016 where he led a nationally ranked top 10 group and was a 3x Partner of the Year in Las Vegas. He was then promoted in 2020 to lead the Utah General Office as the Managing Partner. Matt loves travel with his wife Chantal and children Kiana and Kamden. He enjoys competing in endurance sports and has competed in several 70.3 Ironman triathlons.

*Council is an annual company recognition program based on agent production from July 1- June 30.

Brodie Pearson

Senior Development Manager

Brodie Pearson completed his high school education and joined the United States Marine Corps where he served his country on two deployments to Iraq. During his time of service, he achieved the rank of Corporal and was presented several awards including two Navy Achievement Medals. Following his service, Brodie joined New York Life in 2012 with the encouragement of his father-in-law, a 45-year agent, who thought it would be a good fit and he was right. Brodie is a 6-time Council Agent, a Centurion Agent, and received three Career Life Success Awards. Brodie was also recognized as the New Org Agent of Year for two consecutive years. Brodie received his Associates degree from The Salt Lake Community College and has earned the designation of Chartered Life Underwriter from The American College. Brodie has a passion for developing new agents and has been doing so since accepting the role of Development Manager in May of 2019.

 Brodie is happily married to his wonderful bride, Jodi, since 2005 and they have 2 great children, Nyanna and Roren. Brodie loves getting outdoors and enjoys golf, camping and enjoying the sun.

Jonathan was born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT and has always loved being outdoors and competing in sports, particularly basketball and football. Jonathan started in the sales industry in 2016 and in 2018 he entered the financial services industry while working at a credit union as a personal banker and then as a branch supervisor where his interest of finance grew. This is his first year with New York Life and he enjoys speaking to people about the company culture and the great career opportunities that New York Life has to offer.

Agency Standards Manager

Kiri Pullan attended Utah State University and later began her New York Life career in March 2009. She joined the team as a member of the Customer Service Staff in the Utah General Office where she has been fortunate to work alongside her aunt and a cousin, continuing the family legacy. There she sought opportunities to develop her skills in New Business processes and Contracting and Licensing functions. Her growth initiative and creative problem solving did not go unnoticed and she was recognized as a 2018 Service Superstar. In June 2019, Kiri accepted a new role as Agency Standards Manager, covering the Utah and Las Vegas General Offices, and credits this opportunity to the encouragement and support of her late husband, family, friends, and mentors.

In her free time, Kiri enjoys developing her creative side in photography, traveling with family and friends, and spoiling her nieces and nephews.

Service Leader, CVP

Debra started her career in 1979 in beautiful Ogden, Utah, representing New York Life’s ‘Field Service’ Organization. Debra grew up in Utah (Morgan), and for years her Dad was an NYL Agent, so the NYL logo and company vibe came naturally. After HS, she attended Weber State, and started her NYL career as a Service/Admin Rep at the Ogden General Office. She worked 8 years on the staff in Ogden, then became the Office Manager and got opportunities to relocate and manage the service teams in the Houston G.O., the Montana G.O., and 10 years later, transferred back home to Utah and the Utah G.O. While working with great office teams in each state, she received several branch ‘Manager of the Year’ awards, ‘Best in Class/Business Operations’ awards, as well as numerous top ‘Customer Service’ recognitions.  Debra earned her CLU designation from the American College and is Series 99 registered.  Debra is the Corporate Vice President/Service Leader of the Utah General Office Leadership team, and oversees a full time service team of 7 who provide Agency support and overall customer service. 

Debra has a knack for team development, relationship building, and of course, providing top customer service.  Her goal is to help you be successful, to keep good going, and help generations stay connected and continue to foster the ‘NYLIC’ legacy.  Debra and her husband Al have been married since 1988 and together they have 2 grown kids – Krystal and Zack, and a new grandbaby Reese!  They love living in Utah and being close to family, plus traveling, boating, fishing, skiing, rock & rolling, and totally enjoying this beautiful land of the mountains.
